Canada Jay
This beautiful Canada Jay was spotted near the Maligne River between Maligne Lake and Medicine Lake. On a hike along the trail, a stop at the picnic tables had a large audience of birds watching us enjoy our lunch. This particular Canada Jay was a bit more cautious than the others, observing us from a safe distance. The photo captures the inquisitive nature of this species with its bold blue and white feathers. It's the perfect addition to any nature enthusiast's wall.
